A week ago, Jose Chameleone and other musicians started the Uganda Musicians' Federations, an umbrella that unites all musicians even though their group is only for superstars.

This music group has been branded by many as a direct competitor to Cindy Sanyu’s Uganda Musicians' Associations and its main aim is to solicit money from the government.

Tamale Mirundi says that Chameleone's group was created to divide musicians in Uganda that belong to different camps.

He says all these musicians’ umbrellas are built on empty promises of free money from the government just to split up the industry.

Tamale says the government is afraid of an industry that speaks one language at such a time when the biggest opposition leader is a musician.
