President Yoweri Museveni has warned all corruption politicians and public servants to get saved before he lands on them and exterminates them like rats.
During the ongoing state of the nation address at Serena hotel, president Museveni said his government will fight corruption during this new term of office.
“During the campaigns, I compared these to rats who eat stored millet. These rats must be exterminated, they damage our future.”
He also promised that the NRM caucus would sit and discus more on corruption. He promises that in this 2016/2021 term, the corrupt officials will see how a resistant fighter operates.
He insisted that Ugandans should not sale their souls to foreigners in the name of money. He calls this disgusting corruption.
“Corruption should and will be stumped out. You saw the commission of inquiry mismanagement of UNRA report which pointed out that the 9 trillion Shillings we have spent in the last 7 years could have built 5000km of roads instead of the 1000km we built.”
H.E Museveni however says corrupt officials do not belong to the NRM party alone. “Those engineers are not necessarily NRM.” He called corrupt officials shallow minded people who forget that all government money is documented and at some point, the law will catch up with them.
