Musician Reagan Muhairwe aka Ray G is the first regional artist to stage a successful concert in Kampala.

Ray G over the weekend recorded a massive turnout of revelers, and Lugogo Cricket Oval was full to capacity by 9:00 pm.

The singer now believes he broke the curse, and regional artists will start organizing shows in Kampala, which has for years been dominated by musicians based in the Central Region.

"I wanted to empower and show them that it is possible. For too long, regional musicians have been let down by promoters claiming they don't bring numbers, and it's high time they start booking many of us for shows here. I broke that curse," he partly said in an interview with a local television.

Different musicians, including Spice Diana, Eddy Kenzo, Levixone, Fefe Bussi, among others, joined Ray G in celebration with his fans last Friday at Lugogo Cricket Oval."
