Khloé Kardashian has been a fixture at husband Lamar Odom's bedside ever since he was hospitalized on October 13 following a drug overdose, and now the reality star and author tells Ellen her family is pushing her to focus on herself again.

“Just recently I’ve been in the hospital for almost three-and-a-half weeks straight, and finally everyone was saying, ‘Khloe, you have to get out of the hospital and do something that’s for you,’” the reality star told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “I had such anxiety going to the gym, but as soon as I left, I felt like, ‘Oh my God, I’m OK. I’m human again.’ I just felt so good. But for those three weeks, I didn’t think about the gym because I was thinking about other things, and I don’t beat myself up about it.”

Indeed, Kardashian has been forced to step out whether she liked it or not thanks to the release of her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, and the contractually-obligated promotional duties that come with it. But Kim Kardashian's little sister also resurfaced to attend her baby shower, her half-sister Kendall Jenner's 20th birthday party in West Hollywood and their mother Kris Jenner's lavish 60th birthday bash. Kardashian also flew to Houston to watch boyfriend James Harden play in the NBA season opener.

As for Lamar, while the former athlete's condition continues to improve physically, Kardashian says there may be extensive damage to his brain. "We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can't tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back," she said. "He never asks why he's here. He doesn't ask. He's really confused a lot — sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he's 26, and I say, 'I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!'"

Odom's been hospitalized since October 13 after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel. Watch a BET News report on his condition below:
