Three suspected female thieves were paraded naked through the streets of Mexico recently.
The three women who were forced to walk through the streets of Huatabampo in North-Western Mexico, were accused of stealing from unsuspecting people.
The unidentified women were accused of also doing other ‘illegal things’ and were shamed publicly as a result of their actions.
Their pictures have since circulated round social media.
“Apparently this was a conflict started by young women who do not work in a legal line of work and who robbed other people who also do illegal things. There have been no complaints about this. These women preferred to take shelter within their families and we understand the pain and shame they are feeling, but it is important for authorities to have written complaints so they can exact justice.”-- City Mayor
