Matovu Jaamie also known as Jaamie Woods was born on the 23rd of December in 1992 in the suburbs of  kampala uganda.

In high school, he often participated in singing and dancing competitions and this inspired him to pursue music.

Years later after high school, he decided to test the unchartered waters of my music career and officially rose to fame after releasing "Jaba" and later "She wants me" alongside renowned singer and songwriter Geosteady.

As he was warming up to the hearts of the people and making his mark on the music scene, tragedy struck and he was diagnosed with Hernia which took a toll on him to a point that he had to take a hiatus from the music scene and seek medical attention.

Surgery is no walk in the park. It came at a hefty price and it also required time for full recuperation.

After full recovery, Woods
bounced back with more sensational bangers namely "Come to Daddy" and "Baby sembera" among others.

Albeit music, Jaamie is also actively involved in charity work and enjoys spending time with family.

He draws inspiration from interacting with the married, divorced and those still in the dating spaces and then turns the lessons shared into music.

Keep ear to the ground as Jaamie Woods is in the studio doing what he does best, relentlessly making good music and nothing less.
