Dama Richard Simon, known professionally as “D-D-O”, was born on 20^th-August-1990. He is a Ugandan Raggae/Dancehall music recording artist based in Kampala, Uganda. Richard grew up in the areas of makindye, a suburb in Kampala city. His mother is Mrs. Cissy Nansamba and his father is Mr. Kalungi Hassan all of Makindye, Kampala.

His mother gave birth to him when she was only 19 years old. His parents divorced when he was 5, and his father permanently abandoned the family though he is still alive.

D-D-O enrolled in Walukuba community center nursery and primary school, then to nkoyoyo boarding primary school for his primary studies and finally to Jinja secondary school for his O & A level studies.  D-D-O then proceeded to Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya for his tertiary studies where he graduated in Music, dance & drama with a first class degree in 2013.
