AfriKane is a Ugandan rapper and songwriter who recently moved to Norway, not to pursue music but to move on further with his studies and try to make a better life for himself. Because he has a background of Music, when he got to Norway..he went for open mics and small shows and used to rap to other famous peoples' songs mostly songs of Notorious BIG (his all time favorite rapper) but later he started to do stuff he had written and this got many people amazed and they kept asking for more whenever he went out on stage..he started to frequent the OPEN XPRESSIONS stage in Oslo and became one with the band so started gigging with them..shortly after,AFRIKANE was born.He is the lastborn of 5 children,Grew up in Bukoto, Kampala He is born 21/08/91 and is 25yrs old and he is a rapper/song writer..he is influencing rap in a new way as he believes that he writes abit of rnb in rap and that makes it relatable to most people not just the hiphop lovers.

He started music over 10yrs ago in Uganda and was the leader of a rap group in Uganda called dirty Green which recorded a song under Benon at Swangz and a video thereafter with Badi Films (Lukyamuzi Bashir). I was not yet Mature then as an artist so the time off oi have had of over 6yrs is what has made me ready for this moment now..at the moment am in studio working on first single that i have high hopes for..special thanks to Benon of Swangs for the constructive Advice he gave me years ago, Mikael Musoke my official promoter, My family for the support and my growing fan base..they are awesome.Am getting recognised here as things unfold..i have been invited for a seminar about culture and music at the biggest festival here called the Oslo world Music Festival and am also an ambassador for a youth organisation here called Iam Unique Youth Focus. In  nutshell, that is what AfriKane is all about.
