Culture is a major factor in all kinds of relationships among people especially intimate relationships and marriage,this is mainly because there are major perceptions society expects from a young couple that is hoping to get married some day.Such perceptions are based on traditional cultural norms and customs such as women being homemakers and bearers of children while the men take on the roles of providing for the family.
African culture in general revolves around women being submissive and obedient to their husbands who are naturally supposed to have the final say in family matters such as deciding the number of children to have.
With emancipation of women in this day and age,times have changed and women of today tend to go against the traditional set up of having male dominated society,women today are ambitious,independent,hard working and are willing to take of their needs and provide for themselves hence creating a rift with the opposite sex.
