Sangoma and socialite, Ivan Ssemwanga was recently reported to Jinja road police station where two cases of assault and theft were opened (recorded under file number KMP GEF 110/2015) against him by car dealer , Sadat Gadaffi Sserusiba, his passport was confiscated by Police.
However, the much awaited court battle between Rich Gang CEO and car dealer, who claimed that he lost property worth millions won't proceed.
This follows an out-of-court settlement between the two parties at a mediation meeting held in Munyonyo. Ivan has agreed to pay $10,000 to compensate Serusiba for the items he lost that include an iPhone6, a gold chain and money.
The meeting was called by Tycoon Geofrey Kirumira who brought the two parties to table as Kampala East CID boss, Robert Boogere became a witness in the matter of negotiation.
Gadafi Sadat was satisfied with the outcome and agreed to withdraw the case, the two even hugged to confirm that all was well. Sadat went on to say that it's not Ivan who stole his phone but it got lost as he was being dragged out of the club by the bouncers.
A stance that implies Ivan, who runs a score of businesses in South Africa will now fly out of Uganda after the police returned his passport.
Meanwhile, Ivan also apologized for his actions which he said were under the influence of booze.
