A few days ago, Mr. Sitran Deshpande, who had been Lilian Mbabazi's landlord for over 9 years, went to the media to reveal some concerning issues regarding the singer's tenancy.
According to Mr. Sitran Deshpande, Lilian Mbabazi had defaulted on her rent, and she had adamantly refused to pay the accumulated arrears, which amounted to UGX 24 Million. The singer had been renting the house since February 21, 2018, at a monthly rate of UGX 1.5M.
Recent reports suggest that the landlord's decision to expose Lilian has yielded results, as the singer has finally agreed to pay the requested amount.
A representative of the landlord confirmed that Lilian Mbabazi has cleared 10 million out of the 26 million she owed to her landlord, even though she has still been evicted from the house. However, she is committed to settling the remaining balance within a short period.
“Lillian Mbabazi has managed to clear 10 milion out of 26 owed to her landlord, but she has still been evicted from the house. She is willing to pay the balance in a short time” a representative of the landlord to media in an interview.
