Comedian Patrick Salvado has urged Uganda Airlines to prioritize Luganda as an official language. Salvado said that Luganda is the most widely spoken language in Uganda, and that by using it as an official language, the airline could significantly enhance communication with its passengers.
"I think it's important for Uganda Airlines to prioritize Luganda," Salvado said. "It's the most widely spoken language in the country, and it would make it easier for passengers to communicate with the crew."
Salvado also said that using Luganda as an official language would help to promote the language in other countries.
"When people hear Luganda being spoken on an international airline, it will raise awareness of the language and make people more interested in learning it," he said.
Uganda Airlines has not yet responded to Salvado's suggestion. However, the airline has said that it is committed to providing excellent customer service to all of its passengers, regardless of their language.
