Miss Uganda franchise boss, Brenda Nanyonjo acquired the license from the Miss World offices in the UK in 2011.

She has been organizing the pageant since then. Some people feel like she should hang the boots, and leave the franchise for someone else.

Nanyonjo, however, has hit back at naysayers saying that she is going nowhere.

“To hold the franchise for the 10 years is a testament that I have been doing a good job. You tell me anyone who had the license held for such years. We are only getting stronger,” she said. 

Miss Uganda 2023 will be a reality TV show on StarTimes Makula TV titled “Journey to the crown” that will cover all the Uganda beauty pageant activities in every region of Uganda.
