Comedian Madrat converted to Islam while in Zanzibar.
Well known to be a senior city drunkard, Madrat put the past behind him and he is now ready to embrace the new faith.
Speaking on why he took the hard decision, Madrat said the Muslims have been so good to him given that he was raised by a Muslim family.
"My family has been good to me. I was raised by a Muslim family and they did not force me to convert but I think it is the right thing now," he said.
Madrat joins Geosteady who recently joined the Islam faith.
