Singer Chosen Becky is not happy after MTN awarded her with the Best Kadongo Kamu song in the MTN caller tune awards.
Becky says she doesn’t do Kadongo Kamu music but rather Afrobeat. She, however, took home the award and thanked the organizers and her fans for considering her.
The song that helped her win the award is titled "Nesimye'. The writer of the song, John K said the song had been categorized as Kadongo Kamu or band to make it easily relatable to people.
She got 2.5M as a reward from MTN.
The MTN caller tunes awards recognize musicians whose songs are downloaded often.
