Media personality  Karitas Karisimbi left Capital FM in 2006.

After many years of break, she joined NBS TV to host a program titled "Chatroom".

In an interview with Faridah Nakazibwe of NTV "Mwasuze Mutya' Karitas revealed she created her NBS TV show to emulate Oprah Winfrey.

She, however, believes the show later diverted from the initial reason for its creation.

She wanted to give people time to share their life experiences which isn't the case today.

"My dream was to do what Oprah did, and it started after my break from the media. I created the Chatroom, however, its initial idea is not what it is today. Oprah talks to people and they tell their truth and I wanted to do something like that," she said.

Oprah is an American TV host famously known for "The Oprah Winfrey show".

Her show features interviews, book clubs, and also it is used as an educational platform.
