Socialite Doreen Kabareebe was set to represent Uganda at Ms. World International in Miami this August.
The sad news is that she won't attend as was expected.
Doreen attributed this to the VISA suspension policy by the American Embassy because of the current COVID-19 situation.
“I won’t be able to represent Uganda in Miami this year due to the visa suspension policy based on the Covid-19 situation in Uganda at the moment. It would be selfish as well to represent a nation whose citizens are dying. May the good Lord heal our nation and the whole world from this pandemic,” Doreen posted.
She further emphasized that she communicated to the organizers, and they guaranteed that she will represent Uganda next year once the situation normalized.
