Piers Morgan is demanding that South African comedian Trevor Noah make a public apology for a ‘derogatory’ joke he made about Aboriginal women in 2013
The Daily Show host made fun of the women’s appearance, insinuating that they were not very attractive.
Australians have slammed the joke, calling it “racist” and “sexist”.
Some, including Australian sportsman, Joe Williams, have called for a boycott of Trevor’s upcoming tour of the country.
Joe, who is indigenous, called the 34-year-old’s remarks “utterly unacceptable”.
Meanwhile, the British TV presenter, Piers, wrote a column for the Daily Mail saying the comedian’s “disgusting attack on Aboriginal women confirms him to be a racist, sexist pig – and he can’t even blame Donald Trump for it”
Piers also slammed Trevor not making a public apology.
“So @Trevornoah STILL hasn’t apologised for his racist & sexist mockery of Aboriginal women. Quite extraordinary. Why is @ComedyCentral not telling him to?” he tweeted.
