David Kutosi Wangutsi, the Judge who sent former Principal Accountant, Kazinda, to jail, has reportedly taken over the case of Bank of Uganda against troubled tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia. Sudhir is accused of forging documents and accounts to steal money from the public.

The latest info reaching our desk is that Kutosi will start hearing the case next month.

Early this week, Bank of Uganda dragged Sudhir and fellow tycoon Godfrey Kirumira to court over embezzling 400bn using forged accounts and signatories of people that don’t exist. Bank of Uganda wants Sudhir to be arrested and forced to refund the money.

Kutosi has worked on many cases and most of the accused have ended up in Luzira. Here is a brief profile of Kutosi;

He is 61 years of age

He started serving in the courts of law in 1983.

He is the head judge of commercial business in the High Court of Uganda.

Before he was chosen to head commercial business, he was the chief judge in the anti-corruption section.

He is the same judge who sent Geoffrey Kazinda to Luzira for 5 years.
