Yusuf, a nephew to MUB’s principle Wasswa Balunywa is set to drag MUBs to court over unlawful dismissal from the University as lecturer.

Last year, a local tabloid reported how Wasswa was using innocent girls for marks. It was further reported that, girls were approaching him offering him sex for marks something he couldn’t turn away. He denied the allegations and alleged that some University lecturers were behind his woes.

In his defence he said, he used to hang out in the same bars with students which is not a crime. He wouldn’t get involved with them. The University council sat and indefinitely suspended Wasswa. We later learnt that the council had given him several warnings over sex for marks allegations. Wasswa also admitted that he was summoned among other lecturers over the same issues but wondered why it was only him being targeted.

Sources say that Wasswa together with his lawyers are drafting paper work to drags the University council in court. He needs the University to explain with evidence why they suspended him and pay him for the losses incurred. He claims that the council tarnished his name and he lost his wife. They had just married when the story broke. The wife immediately quit their marital home.
