Controversial academia, Dr Stella Nyanzi, former lecturer and researcher at the Makerere Institute of Social Research has attacked journalist Andrew Mwenda in response to his remarks that Besigye Supporters are the stupidest people he has ever seen in history of politics.

In retaliation, Stella had this to say:
The idea that Andrew Mwenda still infuriates Ugandans when he mouths off against the masses or opposition leaves me in wonder.
