The Uganda police force spokesperson Fred Enanga has warned that they will arrest anybody to takes part in the famous one million march to Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s home, in a bid to pressure the force into releasing him.

Addressing the media at Naguru Police headquarters, Enanga said the self-proclaimed activist Frank Gashumba did not seek recommended permission as stipulated in the constitution. He argues that such gatherings have on many occasions led to destruction of properties, since no all participants are there on a good cause.

“As usual, we want again to warn the public to desist from getting involved in these illegal activities because of the potential to breach peace, promote unlawfulness and also hamper business activities of the wider public,” Enanga warned.

He says Gashumba has not followed the rules that govern the public order.

“Gashumba did not obtain the required clearance and even the notification to police of at least 15 to 3 days.” Enanga warned the business community to be self-cautious of such illegal crowds.

He advised them to temporarily close their businesses if at any point they see such crowds approaching the areas.

He said the police are ready to disperse the crowds, in case these people insist of carrying on with the illegal plans.
