Over 86 FDC Flag bearers nominated on day one

Forum for Democratic Change, FDC Party Presidential flag bearer Patrick Oboi Amuriat has congratulated all party flag bearers who were duly nominated on day one of the nomination exercise for Member of Parliament.

While addressing the press at the party headquarters at Najjanankumbi on Monday, Amuriat noted that the party had already made payments of requisite nomination fees for all eligible candidates who have expressed interest to contest. 

He instructed all party candidates to present themselves for nominations on the first day of the exercise (October 15th), in order to give the party time to deal with any inconveniences that may arise. 

Some of the party members who were nominated on Thursday include; the party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda for Kira Municipality, Ssasaga Isaiah for Budadiri East, Rwamiti Miles for Hoima, Julius Galisonga for Bugweri, Mutesa Alex for Kajara county and Kizza Godfrey for Njeru Municipality.

Others are; Bamukwatsa Betty Muzanira for Rukungiri District woman MP, Oita Sam Odeke for Bukedea County, Nick Kashaija Rutahaba for Mbarara City South, Enos Kanyesigye for Isingiro South, Byuma Betty for district Woman MP Jinja, Perez Rumanzi for Ntungamo Municipality, Wansalala Emmanuel for Jinja East, Betty Aol Ochan the leader of opposition in Parliament for Woman MP Gulu city, Salim Mwase for Bukooli South.

The other FDC flag bearers nominated on Thursday are; Kaseutu Olebo Emmanuel for Kibale County, Asao Susan for Woman MP Kalaki District, Nalujja Lydia for Woman MP Nakasongola District, Dr. Stella Nyanzi for Woman MP Kampala District, Nathan Nandala Mafabi the Party Secretary General, Nassimbwa Nancy Yiga for Woman MP Mukono district, Awekonimungu Proscovia for Woman MP Pakwach District, Wadada Femiar for Woman MP Sironko, Tabu Sarah Woman MP Busia District, Adeke Anna, Kabugho Florence for Woman MP Kasese District, Salaam Musumba, Namatende Eunice for Woman MP Bugiri district and Kaija Harold for MP Kampala Central among others. 
In total, more than 86 aspirants from FDC were nominated on day one and others are expected to be nominated today.

“CONGRATULATIONS to all those so far nominated. Best wishes to you. Being locked up is just part of the struggle. This should never demoralize us. Instead we must resolve to fight on” Amuriat said.
