The National Unity Platform President, also Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has announced that the Party will start nationwide tour next week.

According to Kyagulanyi, the nationwide tour will focus on opening party offices, meeting party ticket holders/candidates and flagging them off and general mobilization as they ready for campaigns.

He encouraged the party candidates to make nominations ‘massive’.

“I would like to encourage all of you going for nominations to make them massive. Reach out to people, this is the beginning of the people asserting their power. Beginning the nominations, all through elections and after the elections” Kyagulanyi said.

While addressing the press at NUP head offices in Kamwokya on Tuesday morning, Kyagulanyi applauded all their supporters, arguing that this is only the beginning as they managed to beat challenges that came with candidate selections.

He called upon all Ugandans to stand together in unity instead of division. Kyagulanyi says the party has been busy in the last few weeks with selection of candidates.

He applauded their elections council and the Executive Board that heard all petitions from those that did not get the party flag. The MP congratulated those who succeeded in receiving the ticket and urged those who were not fortunate enough, to support their peers.

Kyagulanyi preached against disunity in the party, arguing that they all belonged to one party and that there is no need for them to fight.
