The police have identified one of the four kasese murder victims.  The deceased was identified at Muhindo Geoffrey a boda boda rider at Ruhendabara stage in Kasese town.

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, Muhindo is a former police constable whose contract was not renewed in 2005 when it expired. Muhindo has for the last ten years been a civilian operating as a boda boda rider.

Meanwhile, police is yet to identify the other three victims, female and 2 men, but he told the media at police headquarters in Naguru this morning, that preliminary information indicates that their death was a crime of passion.

“The preliminary information coming in indicates that this should be more of a crime of passion. It is suspected that the woman and man who were first killed could have been in a relationship” says Enanga.

The police mouthpiece added that; “After that first scene, which was at lower cell, these people drove for another one kilometer that is where we believe that they murdered the boda boda rider to destroy evidence that incase he is probably arrested or he had knowledge of the murders or the suspects behind the bodies that were dumped.”

Enanga also revealed that the owner of the motorcycle was also able to forward and by end of today, the police force will be able to come up with better information.

Over the weekend, four people were murdered in Kasese. Three bodies of a woman and two men were dumped at churches. These were handcuffed, killed and stuffed in sacks.
