Members of parliament have demanded for the release of FDC leader Kiiza Besigye if the government cannot slap any charges against him.
The legislators this afternoon charged at the State Minister for Internal Affairs James Baba to formerly charge Besigye instead of the habit of detaining him in Nagalama & taking him back home.
Minister Baba says he was informed that Besigye who was arrested in the morning will be charged under the Public Order and Management Act.
This left Hon. Theodore Sekkikubo wondering;
“I don't know how Govt is going about this to appear not trumping someones rights under the guise of Public Mgt law. Why can't you make for Besigye safe passage? And we see what he will do.”
He argued that Besigye should have been allowed to join his people in Najjanankumbi and that a lasting solution is found to end the pingpong.
