The electoral commission will today deliver tally sheets, and declaration forms (per polling station) to all presidential candidates.
According to the electoral commission spokesperson, the documents will be delivered at candidates’ respective offices.
On Monday, FDC party presidential contender, Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye was arrested as he attempted to lead a procession to the electoral commission head offices, to pick the said documents.
Also, the FDC party offices in Najjanankumbi were turned upside down by police, and 8 data clerks arrested by police as they sought some documents that would not be explained to the media and public.
Besigye spent the whole day and evening at Naggalama police station before being driven back to his home in Kasangati at 10:00PM.
This morning, police is still heavily deployed outside his home. Besigye lost last week’s election to the Incumbent NRM’s Yoweri Museveni, but has since contested the election calling it a sham.
Legally, Besigye has only 7 days to challenge the election in court or hold his peace.
