Drama ensued on Entebbe road this morning when President Museveni’s convoy passed huge crowds of his FDC counterpart Dr. Besigye’s supporters who were cleaning roads and readying their centers for his visit.
Museveni who was making his way to State house Entebbe encountered the problem from Najjanankumbi up to Entebbe as Besigye supporters lined by the road sides throwing all kinds of mean words at him, dancing to Besigye’s campaign song as he and his body guards looked on.
Meanwhile, business of Besigye’s portraits was booming, with each laminated portrait selling for a flat rate of 2,000 Shillings.
The events also brought traffic along the road, to a standstill as it took people hours to get to Entebbe International Airport.
Vehicles were seen moving at snails speed with traffic piling up for miles to and from Kajjansi in both directions.
Besigye today campaigned in the areas of Makindye Sabagabo Municipality, Busiro South and Busiro East.
