The opposition Go forward camp spokesperson Mike Mabikke has mocked the Uganda police over their alleged new purchase of security equipment spotted at the Mombaza port in Kenya on Thursday evening.

Media houses in neighboring Kenya posted pictures of the new Mambas, wedged front plows and police water cannons with Uganda Police logos being transported via the port to Uganda.

This has however instilled more fear into a section of Ugandans who believe the machines are meant to be used in intimidation of voters during this month’s general election.

But, Mabikke and his other opposition counterparts tend to be having the last laugh, claiming Ugandans are used to such machines, and teargas.

“No matter what they buy, Ugandans will not be intimidated; they will not be scared of casting their votes come 18th February. They will vote their favorite candidate, and nothing will go wrong,” says Mabikke.
