Two Daily Monitor staff have been killed in a fatal car accident along the Mbale-Tirinyi high way in Budaka district.

Two Daily Monitor Staff have died while two others are seriously injured in an accident that occurred along the Mbale-Tirinyi high way in Budaka district.

The dead are 49 Tonny Kadu, a driver and Daniel Adda, circulation department.

The Daily monitor car delivering Newspapers in Mbale and Soroti rammed into a stationed Fuso lorry UAM 983C at Nabweyo in killing the duo instantly.

Eyes witnesses said it took them more than thirty minutes to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage of the vehicle that was stuck under the truck.

The Budaka district Traffic Officer Anna Illomu attributes the accident to over speeding and reckless driving by the driver of the Daily Monitor vehicle.

She has identified the survivors as Sarah Apio, 26, and 23 year old Sarah Nafuna, wife to the diseased driver Kadu.

May their souls rest in eternal peace.
