THE Uganda Police Force has made fresh transfers and appointments of both gazetted and non-gazetted officers for the fourth time in 2 months.

Uganda’s Police Chief, General Kale Kayihura, has reshuffled senior police officers in what he says is a move to boost efficiency.

Last evening, Inspector General of Police authorized the transfer of 39 officers to new areas of deployment.

The transfers affect officers from the rank of commissioner of police (CP) to the rank of Assistant superintendent of Police (ASP).
