The Police in Bushenyi have arrested a woman and her son for the murder of her husband. The deceased is Muhangi Asaph a 50-year-old resident of Omunjeru cell Rwentuha town council.
The suspects include the deceased’s wife Twongirwe Sylvia and their son who were allegedly seen assaulting him. Martial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi PRO says the deceased and his wife had long standing domestic wrangles.
However, on 27/02/2023, Muhangi was found lying dead in his bed, dressed with bruises on the back and blood oozing from his mouth.
It is also alleged that the deceased has been a common drunkard.
A team of detectives visited the scene of crime, processed it and recorded relevant witness statements.
The body was handed over to Mbarara referral hospital pending postmortem.
