The Minister for Information Communication Technology (ICT) and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has tweeted he is in a stable state after he collapsed in his constituency on Saturday.

Baryomunsi was airlifted in a military helicopter from Kambuga hospital and referred to Mulago National referral hospital in Kampala.

This is after he suddenly collapsed on Saturday evening while on his way to Ruhija in Muramba parish, Rutenga sub county a second meeting with his constituents to donate iron sheets to Church of Uganda's Kyakikyere church.

In a message posted on his official Twitter, the ICT minister allays fears that his condition is deteriorating by indicating he is out of danger.

"Friends, yesterday I had a blackout while in my constituency. I was moving from one church function to another. I was rushed to Kambuga Hosp and then airlifted to Mulago Hospital. Am now stable and out of danger. The medical team is carrying out further tests. No need to worry," the message on Twitter reads.

On Sunday, State Minister for ICT Godfrey Kabbyanga, said Baryomunsi is being treated for extreme fatigue but is out of danger.

“He was doing routine mobilization in his constituency, but later that day after several meetings with church leaders and youth, he was going to meet the priests at about 7am in the company of his PA when collapsed. They are carrying out investigations into his state but the immediate cause is fatigue”
