Residents of Nyakatoma village, Kahungura perish, Migamba sub-county, Kyegegwa District have arrested two suspected thieves who have been terrorizing their area.

The duo has been identified as Kiiza Nicholas 26 years old, resident of Kitura village, Nkomangani parish, Kyatega sub-county, Kyegegwa District, and Ainembabazi Emmanuel, a Boda Boda rider and resident of Kitura village, Nkomangani parish, Kyatega sub-county, Kyegegwa District.

According to Twesige Vicent the PRO Rwenzori, thieves broke into Muhangi Francis’s house during the night of 25/02/2022 and stole a solar battery, clothes, and other properties valued at around 3 million shillings.

He reported the matter to Migamba police post. However, on 28/02/2022 at around 0015 hrs. at Bagarame trading center, residents arrested two men on suspicion that they were behind the robbery.

Upon searching them, the suspects were found with a toy gun.

Meanwhile, another suspect only identified as Javila disappeared with motorcycle reg. no UEJ 274 J to an unknown place. 

The angry residents tortured the suspects until they revealed that they were behind the theft at the complainant’s home. 

Twesige says that Police conducted a search and recovered a solar battery belonging to the complainant.
