The Police in Pallisa district are investigating the murders of two family members.
According to Immaculate Alaso the Bukedi North police spokesperson, the deceased persons are 12-year-old Catherine Looko and her brother, Micheal Kibali, both residents of Kayepei village in Kadesok Opwateta Sub County.
Alaso says that Kibali was seen moving around with his sister on January 2, 2022, but she mysteriously went missing around 8 pm.
The family mounted a search until Monday evening when they discovered that Kibali had murdered his sister and buried her body behind his house.
This prompted an angry mob to pounce on Kibali and beat him to death.
Alaso says they recovered both bodies and conveyed them to Pallisa general hospital where they are lying pending postmortem.
