The police in Rukiga are searching for two unidentified suspects who disappeared from a crime scene after a fatal accident.
According to Elly Maate the police spokesperson for Kigezi region, the accident happed at Ruhonwa along Muhanga Kisizi Road in Rukiga District, when a one Atuhire Gerald riding a motorcycle and carrying two passengers was involved in an accident.
It is alleged that the rider was carrying two passengers and attempted to escape after sighting traffic police.“He sta
rted fidgeting and failed to control its movement, hence fell and sustained serious injuries. Was rushed to hospital where he died instantly” Maate says.
Police led by OC Station Muhanga and traffic team visited the secene but found when the passengers had escaped with the motorcycle.
Postmortem was done and body handed to the relatives, while police is searching for the two passengers who got away.
