Officers at Buyala police post in Jinja are investigating circumstances under which a 40-year-old man was killed and his body dumped outside the police post.
The deceased has been identified as James Magala who was murdered on Thursday night. His body was found in a pool of blood on Friday morning with cuts all over, raising suspicion that he was murdered.
According to Henry Mugarura the Jinja North Police Commander, they are tracking the deceased's unknown killers.
The deceased's brother Joseph Wansala noted that Magala left home on Thursday afternoon and never showed up again.
Meanwhile, one of the residents of Buyala trading centre identified as Leila Namukuve, argues that the deceased is suspected to have been killed from another location and dumped at the police post. As there was no sign of a struggle in the area where the body was found.
Police picked the deceased’s body and conveyed it to Buwenge Health Centre IV Mortuary for postmortem.
