Two people have perished on spot after a speeding salon vehicle they were traveling in rammed into the bridge at River Sebwe on Wednesday night in Kasese district.

According to the OC traffic Kasese ASP Adrian Kaganda, the accident occurred around 8:30 pm when the driver of the Toyota Corolla registration number UAJ 769K failed to negotiate a sharp corner near Kisanyarazi trading centre on Kasese-Hima road and eventually rammed into the bridge.

Kaganda identifies the deceased as the car’s driver Patrick Byaruhanga along with a unidentified woman. Meanwhile, a child who was also in the car was rushed to Kilembe Mines hospital.

Byaruhanga was an employee of Pearl engineering company limited at the Mubuku irrigation scheme.
