Four suspects are in police custody after they were arrested for breaking into someone’s home in Mukono and stealing household properties.

Four suspects are in police custody after they were arrested for breaking into someone’s home in Mukono and stealing household properties.  

Suspects include Charles Tumusiime a Police officer attached to the Crime Intelligence Directorate, the driver of Deputy Director Crime Intelligence Charles Asaba 

He was arrested with three women; Zalwango Lindah alias Malaika, Nakimbugwe Kevina, Mubenja Brendah in Nabuuti, Mukono District. 

According to Kampla metropolitan police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, Zalwango met Julius Kawooya who stays in Sweden a few months ago and they had a relationship. The same woman was also allegedly having a relationship with Tumusiime.

She then planned with Tumusiime to break into the house of Kawooya and steal his property while he was gone. 

Brian Kasuule the caretaker of Kawooya's house, told police that the four suspects led by the police officer passed through the ceiling and entered the house, put him on gunpoint and stole the property. 

However, when the neighbors saw Kawooya's property being loaded on the vehicle, a Silver Double Cabin Registration Number UAZ 640Q, they sounded an alarm and called police which intervened and arrested all the suspects also impounded the vehicle.

Suspects are currently being detained at Mukono Police Station as investigations continue.
