The head of state, President Yoweri Museveni has met the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Community, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin and his delegation who called on him at State House, Entebbe.

During the meeting, Mr. Museveni thanked the Bohra community for picking interest in investing in Uganda saying that there is no any investment destination like Uganda.

"Thank you for honouring us by coming to Uganda and thank you for your intentions to refurbish Gombe Hospital," he said.

The President was happy to note that Bohra denotes trader and that the reason for trade is to create wealth.
"The Bible says we shall know them by their fruits; in other words a person of God is known by what he does not what he says," he added.

Mr. Museveni informed his guests that the causes of mismanagement in other parts of the world is emphasis on identity rather than interest adding that Uganda is peaceful because it prioritized interest rather than identity.

He informed the delegation that there are deliberate plans to modernize Uganda and cited the favourable factors necessary for business to thrive such as availability of markets, enough electricity and cheap transport, among other factors.

The Bohra community, which has expressed interest in investing in Uganda, commended President Museveni for his committed leadership and development of the country.

The Dawoodi Bohras are a sect within the Ismaili branch of Shia Islam, the largest populations of Dawoodi Bohras.
