Acholi Prime Minister Abducted in South Sudan

There is panic in Acholi after the Prime Minister of Acholi chiefdom, Ambrose Oola was abducted by suspected South Sudanese rebels.

There is panic in Acholi after the Prime Minister of Acholi chiefdom, Ambrose Oola was abducted by suspected South Sudanese rebels. 
  
Available reports indicate that the gunmen abducted Oola and six others from Yambio County in Gbudwe state in south western South Sudan on Tuesday, as they were doing consultancy work for World Vision in the volatile country where has been since March this year.  

Rwot David Onen Acana II, the Acholi Paramount Chief and Oola's family have confirmed the abduction.  
According to his wife, Anne Kipwola Oola, the family is in touch with World Vision in South Sudan, which is trying to negotiate with the rebels. 
  
Santos Okot Lapolo, the Gulu Resident District Commissioner, says a security team in the district is working on ascertaining the details and coordinating with the security in South Sudan to see establish what happened.
