The ivory tower, Makerere University Vice Chancellor has revealed they have formulated a committee to study a report by the visitation committee since they are not ready to respond now.

The university was tasked by President Museveni to respond to the Visitation Committee Report about the management of the institution through the ministry of education.
  
Addressing the media at the Senior Common Room Makerere University Main Building, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe the Vice Chancellor said the university officials had agreed not to comment on any issue raised in the report until they study it fully.
    
The visitation committee handed over its report to President Yoweri Museveni n Friday December 28, 2017, , who is the Visitor - or overseer - of all public universities. Present while the committee handed over the report to the president, were Education Minister Janet Museveni, Makerere Chancellor Dr Ezra Suruma, Council Chairman Dr Charles Wana-Etyem, Nawangwe and other university officials.
  
At the meeting, President Museveni guided that a formal response to the report be made by the university to the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  
Prof. Nawangwe says that they have constituted an eight-member team to study the report in order to come up with a formal response that will be discussed by management, and council before it is submitted to the education ministry.
  
The committee that will be headed by the current acting Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance and Administration, Prof. William Bazeyo, has up to February to have studied the 355-page report.
  
The team will also have Charles Barugahare, the University Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Eria Hisali, the Principal of College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS), Prof. John David Kabasa, Principal College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (COVAB), Dr. Florence Nakayiwa, the University Director for Planning & Development, Dorothy Sennoga Zake, the Acting Director Human Resources and Jackie Ayorekire, the Head of the Makerere University Revenue Services Unit.
  
According to Prof. Nawangwe, the team will identify areas for immediate action and those that require further clarification from the Ministry of Education.
