While candidates across the country are about to finish their final paper in the primary leaving examination PLE, we cannot say the same for those in three Primary Schools in Rubanda district, who are stranded after a missed delivery of the Integrated Science examination paper for Primary Seven Candidates.

The affected candidates are from Kishakyi Primary School, Mengo Primary School in Muko Sub County and Nyakatugunda Primary School in Ikumba Sub County.

According to Anthony Musasizi, the head teacher of Kishaki primary school, candidates and supervisors were still stranded by midday today, waiting for Integrated Science paper. The examination started at 9:00 a.m. in other schools across the country.

Also Chairperson Uganda National Teachers Union Rubanda branch, Musasizi says that they are yet to receive communication for the District PLE supervisor for the whereabouts of the paper.

The Rubanda District Education Officer, Celestine Magezi says that they are working around the clock to rectify the anomaly. He added that about seven primary schools faced a similar problem on the first day of the examinations.

The schools that were affected yesterday are Mungaara, Buzaaniro, Kashakyi, Mengo, Nyakatugunda, Rwakahonda and Ruhonwa II. Three of these faced the same problem today.

The Rubanda District overall PLE supervisor, Richard Mugayehwenki says that the paper had been diverted to Kamwezi Sub County in Rukiga District, adding that his team has already intervened to solve the problem.

By press time, candidates had not sat for the paper.
