The Uganda police has trashed as fake news, reports that IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura is critically ill.
A local daily on Sunday ran a story that the General was critically ill and had been rushed to a hospital in India.
However, AIGP Asan Kasingye, the police spokesperson told a press briefing this morning that the stories are completely false and invented by people with fertile imaginations.

“There is no aota of truth in these stories. The IGP is in good health and is outside the country on work. The public should ignore these false stories and not be alarmed” Kasingye said.
He warned media houses carrying the stories to stop or be dragged to courts of law.
