President Yoweri Museveni faces a serious task of presenting an exit plan for his administration demanded by opposition Members of Parliament as he addresses the nation today.

The demand hinges on a plot by members of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, to lift the presidential age limit, a move which would make President Museveni eligible to contest for the presidency when his current term ends.  The Ugandan constitution limits the age of the president to 75.

Busiro East MP Medard Lubega Seggona says the time is overdue, for President Yoweri Museveni to address the nation about is exit. He adds that anything away from the exit plan is obstructionism.

Deputy Opposition Whip Roland Mugume says that a clear picture on the exit plan and transition will provide sustainability and continuity in the country.

Shadow Minister for health, Julius Ochen says governance and loss of direction are the key causes of problems affecting Uganda's development. He says Uganda's has slipped off the ideals of democracy, transparency and accountability.

Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the Opposition Whip in Parliament says the president needs to respect the limitation provided in the constitution.
