The current chairman of the Sebei Elgon Cooperative Union Major Juma Seiko says he fears the people shot at his home could have been targeting him.

Police has commenced investigations into circumstances under which two people were shot dead at Major Juma Seiko's home in Naksero Kampala.

According to Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, two men identified as Lameck Ogwang, a security supervisor SGA, a private firm and Fred Ssembatya, a boda boda rider based along Balintuma road in Mengo were shot dead at Seiko's home on Plot 1A Nakasero road at 3 am on Sunday morning.

A third person only identified as Ssenkubuge was shot in the thigh and is currently at Mulago hospital in critical condition.

Kayima says the suspected shooter identified as Alex Cherotik, a guard working at Seiko's home, has been arrested.

"We have the suspect in custody and the killer gun is with us. We have also recorded his statement," Kayima says in a brief statement.

Juma Seiko, who is, is demanding for thorough investigations into the matter. He says his guard is a brave man who would have been killed or used to get to him if, the he had not shot at the men first.
