Is Paula Patton and Robin Thicke Hollywood’s ‘It’ couple of the moment?

After 20 years together, the two have finally snagged their first magazine cover as a couple for Prestige Magazine.  For the spread, Paula looks nightcap ready in a black sexy gown and a gold heart, while Robin dons a blue blazer.  Paula also says that Robin is her best friend in the interview, while Robin admits that he may not even be alive if it wasn’t for his wife:

I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula. She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her.

How sweet!  The cover comes just a week after Robin Thicke’s alleged groping scandal. After the MTV VMA’s, a New York socialite Instagrammed a photo of Robin allegedly touching her butt at an afterparty, and now she’s on a press tour and making headlines.  Earlier this week, the socialite told a tabloid that he not only touched her butt, but he started grabbing her and making out with her at the party and he wanted to get her in bed.

Obviously, Paula isn’t worried about a thing. She was the baddest chick in the room last night at Robin Thicke’s album release party in New York and she made sure she let it be known that the fire in that relationship is hotter than ever.

Paula looked hot in a sexy, cutout Stella McCartney dressed as she kissed on her man and put on a good show.  The couple are fresh off of a relaxing vacation in Miami with their son Julian.

Robin Alan Thicke (born March 10, 1977) is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He is the son of actor Alan Thicke and actress Gloria Loring. Thicke has worked with popular artists such as Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, and Mary J. Blige. Thicke has also been acknowledged for his work on popular albums such as Usher’s Confessions and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III. Thicke was a singer, mentor, and judge on the ABC show Duets.

Thicke began dating actress Paula Patton at the age of 16. They were married in 2005, and have a son, Julian Fuego Thicke, born April 6, 2010.

Patton was born in Los Angeles, California, to Joyce  a school teacher, and Charles Patton, a lawyer. Her father is African-American and her mother, who is caucasian, has German and English ancestry. She graduated from Hamilton High School, and then started college at UC Berkeley, transferring to USC Film School after her first year and graduating magna cum laude. Shortly after completing her studies, she won a three-month assignment making documentaries for PBS. Later she worked for the Discovery Health Channel as producer for the show Medical Diaries.

Her first acting role was a small part in 2005′s Hitch, which starred Will Smith and Eva Mendes. She followed that with a small part in the drama London and appeared alongside OutKast members Andre Benjamin and Big Boi in Idlewild.

Patton’s big break came in 2006 when she landed the pivotal role of Claire Kuchever in the science-fiction thriller Déjà Vu, starring Denzel Washington and Jim Caviezel. She played television reporter Kate Madison in 2008′s Swing Vote. She appeared in the film Mirrors, alongside Kiefer Sutherland, in 2008. She also appeared in her husband Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without You” video in 2006.

In Precious (2009), Patton plays Ms Blu Rain, a teacher at ‘Each One, Teach One’ an alternative high-school in Harlem, New York. At the school, Miss Rain teaches and mentors disadvantaged students, including the film’s main character, C. Precious Jones.

In the fall of 2010, Patton was announced as succeeding Sharon Stone as the new full-time assistant district attorney on the NBC legal drama, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. However, Patton landed the lead female role in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and thus her role on SVU was reduced to one episode. She was replaced by Melissa Sagemiller.

Patton began dating Canadian-American recording artist Robin Thicke, son of actors Alan Thicke and Gloria Loring, when they were both teenagers. They married on June 11, 2005, and have one son, Julian Fuego, born in April 2010.
