Earlier this week, school-going kid and singer Felista accused events promoter Yiga Joel of running away with fifty million Ugandan shillings meant for her concert.
She alleged that he was not answering her calls and had also refused to meet with her management on multiple occasions after pocketing the money.
Yiga Joel, also known as MP Lubaga South, has denied ever receiving money from Felista's management. He explained that there were misunderstandings, but he never ran away with any money.
"I would be in jail if I ran away with her money, but I never did. There is just a misunderstanding with her management, but meetings are ongoing to resolve the matter. As the promoter of the show, I still want it to happen and will do anything possible for it to take place," he said.
Yiga also accused Felista's father of selfishness.
