In December 2023, Blu*3 singers Cindy, Lilian Mbabazi, and Jackie Chandiru announced they would stage a concert at Serena Hotel on March 8th this year.
They claimed the concert would celebrate female contributions to the Ugandan music industry, which is why they chose Women's Day for the event.
However, reports indicate the concert has been canceled and will not take place as scheduled.
It is alleged that the musicians failed to reach an agreement with the promoter, who chose to withdraw from organizing the show.
Other sources reveal that their promoter delayed booking the venue, and it was given to band singer Ronald Mayinja, who signed papers early with the Serena Hotel managers.
