Nigerian singer Simi recently revealed to the media which Ugandan musicians are popular in Nigeria. In an interview, she was asked to list some Ugandan artists she thinks have a chance of enjoying the Nigerian music market.
"I have heard about Joshua Baraka... I just got to learn about him recently. Eddy Kenzo, Cindy Sanyu, for Kenzo, I spoke with him some time back," she said.
When asked about other artists such as Fik Famaica, she rescinded, saying,
"Who?... I have not heard about that one. Not yet anyway, but maybe...who knows? It would be nice if we had more African countries that seep into the Nigerian market the way our music seeps into other countries," she continued.
